Microsoft Applied Skills allows you to showcase that you can perform real-world tasks using Microsoft technologies, in an exam-like, scenario based situation.

Applied Skills credentials are earned by completing interactive tasks that align to real work in a lab-based assessment. They’re flexible and can be earned at your pace, and on your schedule. Whether you’re trying something new or building toward certification, they help you fill skill gaps and stay on track in your learning journey.

I like to drop into Applied Skills when I’m between projects, or if I have an inclination to learn something totally new.

What I have noticed with the Applied Skills content, is that some no longer work, some have been removed, and some have been newly added. So whilst I envisage this “index” having a lifespan of about 3 weeks, it’s something I’ve thrown together, to refer to during periods of down time. At the time of writing this, there are 37 Applied Skills courses available.
