So, you’re uploading applications, scripts and whatever else to Intune… well done. But, where do you have the logs write out/redirect to?
By working smarter and not harder, if you write out the logs to %ProgramData%\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\ then running a Collect Diagnostics command against the device within the Intune Console, will allow you to remotely capture those log files…
Examples of how this can be used as an Install parameter, or within a PowerShell script for Transcript/log locations.
Start-Transcript "$env:ProgramData\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\Script-SCCMClient-Detection.log"
msiexec /i "Setup.msi" /qn /L*v "%ProgramData%\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\App-Install-Setup.log"
It’s the little things, but lots of little things will make your life easier.
