I’ve been happily working for years with my Logitech MX Keys and ShareX as my screen capture tool of choice. This last week, ShareX has stopped responding to my Print Screen key requests – which has been very frustrating!
After much head scratching, hair pulling and cursing ShareX, Microsoft and Snipping Tool, it turns out that Logitech pushed a shiny new update to their Logi Options+ application, and in doing so have hijacked the Print Screen functionality to leverage their own “Screen Capture” tooling – which is not cool.
So, open Logi Options+, open your Keyboard, and click on the Print Screen key. Here you will see it has been hijacked to call “Screen Capture“.

Change this back to “Print Screen” and close the Logi Options+ app/window. And you can go on your merry way once again.

Logitech have recently made a lot of annoying mistakes in my eyes, and I don’t have much patience for this kind of thing. Not cool Logitech, not cool at all.
